how has access to digital media technology changed  the way in which the audience consumes media ?


Access in digital media is making allowance for characteristic   person cannot really change also making it more beneficial for them. producers are creating more devices then before.  new media technology such as on demand services, smart tv  and high definition have allowed audiences to explore to explore and consume new products in a useful way to suit our lives . On demand services have proven to be beneficial for people who do not really have the time to sit down and watch tv because they are busy.

The consummation for new media technology has increased because of the beneficial effects it produces on its audiences. one reason why audience consume new media technology is because it is a beneficial source of information. The increase of a new media technology has allowed audiences to access or consume information and news in a number of different ways. social networking sites like facebook twitter have become source for information due to the sheer amount of people sharing and spreading the news they hear about. This is beneficial for audiences who live in restricted areas , and whose access is limited, the spread in this new media technology has allowed people to use new media technology as a relevant source of information,

Technological convergence

Technological Convergence is the tendency for different technological systems to work together performing similar task.

This means that new technologies are created to take over from past technologies and perform the same task but in a more advanced manner. For example people “used” to listen to the music on the radio but now technological convergence have evolved and majority of the people use their phones to listen to music

Past technologies were only designed to handle a minority of task.

·         For example a telephone was only able to receive and transmit calls.

·         A television set was only designed to show images and sound through analogue station signal.

Technological Convergence has improved many products such as

·         Phones

·         Accessories (game consoles

·         Web

·         Social interaction

They have improved to become more convenient for the 21^st century.

Advantages for Technological convergences:

1.       They will have more advertisement – they can advertise it anywhere

2.       They can promote their films-by game based

Disadvantages for technological convergence

·         It is more expensive

·         They are not guaranteed that the customers will buy the product just because it have better quality

·         There are cheaper alternatives for people to make their own media work. eg music video.

Its functions :
 An mp3 player is a device that is capable to play mp3 files or MPEG-1 audio layer 3. they have many features including music, the ability to read documents, take pictures and watch videos.



 how do you use the device

i mostly use the device to listen to music and possibly play games

Advantages

• it can store a lot more music 
• find it easy to get a hold of more music 

Disadvantage 

• the sound quality
• metadata

The mp3 player relates more to the Music Industry, as well as the Film industry

The platforms that it would be able to access would be mostly iTunes, and possibly the Apple store, to download games.

In the lesson so far I have found out the difference between analogue and digital.
analogue is, devices which record data linearly from one point to another. analogue devices read media, such as tapes or records by scanning the physical data off the media.
Digital is devices which performs all calculations using ones and zeros. this method of computing is referred to as the binary system, Digitalized information is recorded in binary code of combinations of the digits 0 and 1, also called bits which represent words and images (compressed on small storage)

Introduction About Jazmyne Tyana Ricketts


Heeyyyy! My name is Jazmyne , I'm 16 year old; I was born on the 18th december 1998. I am a only child, however i do have half brothers, who i don't live with.
in coulsdon sixth form college I am taking Media Studies (Obviously), health and social care and business and i need to retake my maths, which isn't much of a problem to me. i want to take media because it would kind give me the knowledge of what it is like in the media industry  just in case my plan A doesn't go right.

In the Future i would like to become a Midwife, because i feel that i could give advice to first time mums and help them have the pregnancy that they desire. However if that doesn't not work i would like to become paediatrician (Children's doctor) Because i love to see children happy.

I don't really watch that much Tv but when i do, i love to watch American Next Top Model, also i watch allot of devious maids, it is soooo CAPTIVATING, after you've finished one of the episodes, you just want to watch me. I LOVE IT. also i watch a lot of reality tv shows, such as The Real housewives of atlanta and Love and hiphop i enjoy their drama Lol.

one thing that i Hate the most is ……..SPORTS. i don't run, i don't hit, i don't throw, and i definitely do not kick a ball. I hate sports with a passion, i feel like its unnecessary for me to do, if i want to be healthy i would eat more fruits and veg and run up the stairs.. (lets move on, i don't want it to become a rant). HOWEVER one sport that i do love is, dance. I got an offer from the brit school in 2013 to become a member, however i turned it down, because i felt that i didn't want to peruse dance anymore.

one of my hobbies, is to sing in my free time. i sang in my schools talent show and i came 2nd. it was such a great experience, it booted my confidence even more, i was more able to sing in front of people even more. my favourite artist is Rihanna.

Im a very shy at first BUT once you get to know me , you cant get me to shut up, lool.
